Propane is one of the safest and most efficient substitutes for gasoline and diesel buses. Alternative fuel prices are nearly 30% less than the cost of gasoline making propane alternative fuel very cost-efficient.
Our Liquid Propane Injection (LPII) alternative fuel system is CARB certified at 0.17 NOx and is a fully integrated dedicated engine fuel system that is designed in complete harmony with the 8.1L gasoline engine.
The LPI system is engineered to maximize the design benefits of today's gasoline engines and uses the General Motors (GM) engine computer that is calibrated specifically for propane.
